Meet Mary

Mary is the president of SplashSource where she leads a dream team of marketing professionals and provides oversight and coordination on various aspects of agency operations, including client account management, plan development and execution, and creative direction.

No stranger to the advertising industry, Mary has spent 29 years leading ADsource, a full-service marketing company established in 1993.  Prior to branching out on her own, she spent 10 years in radio, beginning as a copywriter and production director, then moving into sales and eventually station management.

Some 18 years after launching ADsource Mary lead the rebranding campaign for a consultant in the car wash industry and saw an opportunity to help owners and operators across the country take their car wash businesses to new levels of success through integrated marketing strategies and better creative execution.

“My work philosophy has to always been to kill your clients with service. Everyone at SplashSource follows that same mantra, taking a proactive role in making each client feel appreciated, responding to their needs in a timely manner and with a positive attitude,” says Mary.

Meet Sara

Sara began her work with SplashSource after she graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism and minor in Communications.  Sara serves at the Social Media Director at SplashSource where she manages multiple accounts. From creating campaign plans and designing graphics to analyzing insights to improve page performance, she enjoys taking on the many pieces that make up the social media pie.

“My favorite part about the marketing and advertising industry is the ability to connect and build relationships with businesses all over the country. Zoom has become our best friend since the pandemic, and it’s great to interact with clients outside of southwest Florida.” Sara says.

Meet Sylver

Sylver Layer graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. Sylver serves as Production Director at SplashSource and is responsible for managing the flow of agency projects from start to finish. She liaisons with account managers and the creative team to assure timely and accurate project completion.

Sylver also implements social media strategies for select clients and hones her analytics capabilities using various agency software platforms for reporting results of social media campaigns and ratings and search results.

When she’s not keeping everyone at the office in tow or making us laugh, Sylver enjoys reading and baking. She thinks that sounds boring, but anyone who knows Sylver, knows she is anything but! She can be reached at

Meet Rachel 

Rachel Derr holds a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Liberty University. She partners with SplashSource as a Contract Graphic Designer, working with the production team and account managers to bring the client’s projects to life. Rachel utilizes her skills with the Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of design theory to ensure each project clearly communicates the desired content.

Rachel continues to create when she’s not in the office designing; she enjoys photography, painting, and playing the piano. She loves the arts and strives for her work to reflect her passion.

Meet Phil

Phil, is lead Graphic Designer for SplashSource.  Armed with a Bachelor of Science in industrial design/visual communications from Ohio State University, Phil began his career 25 years ago working in agencies and publications as a senior art director.

At SplashSource Phil designs everything from menus and pay screens to signage and digital ads.  You name it, Phil will brand it consistently and creatively. Little known fact about Phil – he served for seven years as adjunct professor in the design department at Southern Technical College, teaching aspiring graphic designers on the subjects of typography, advanced concept development and portfolio studies.
